2017 Junior Girls Team Information & Application Process
Junior girls can submit their golf resume for the opportunity to represent Maryland in two team events -  the Poindexter Cup and Mid-Atlantic Challenge. Competitors must be at least 13 years of age, cannot have turned 19 years of age and cannot be attending college. Please submit your golf resume no later than May 1, 2017 to be considered for the teams.  MORE INFORMATION
2017 USGA Women's State Team Championship Criteria & Application
Three players will be selected to represent Maryland at the 2017 USGA Women's State Team Championship at The Club at Las Campanas in Santa Fe, New Mexico on September 26-28, 2017. The team will consist of the three eligible players accumulating the most points from a two-year point system (January 1, 2016 through August 1, 2017).  MORE INFORMATION
Drive, Chip and Putt Registration is Open
The Drive, Chip and Putt aims to help younger generations begin their connection with golf by providing a fun, interactive platform for participants of all skill levels. This free youth development initiative welcomes boys and girls ages 7-15 to participate. Local qualifiers in Maryland will be held at Talbot, Manor, Fox Hollow, Little Bennett and University of Maryland. MORE INFORMATION
USGA Announces a Local Rule on Accidental Movement of a Ball on the Putting Green
The USGA announced that effective January 1, 2017 the committee in charge of a competition or course now has the option to adopt a Local Rule that eliminates the penalty for all circumstances when a player, an opponent or either of their partners, caddies or equipment accidentally moves a ball or ball-marker on the putting green.  MORE INFORMATION   INFOGRAPHIC

2017 Rules of Golf Seminar at Argyle Country Club
The annual Rules of Golf seminar will be held on April 24th at Argyle. There will be a classroom style discussion on common rules golfers encounter and an outdoor session with rules scenarios at the bunker, teeing ground, water hazard and putting green. Registration fee includes breakfast, lunch and a copy of The Rules of Golf. Men and women are welcome to attend. MORE INFO
2017 Women's Team Championship - Register Before April 1st
Teams of women representing the same MSGA member club are eligible to participate. The format is four-ball match play at gross with Nassau scoring. The defending champion will be the #1 seed. Seeding of remaining teams will be by the total of the handicap indexes on the team roster. Please be aware of the new substitution policy for 2017. MORE INFO
